Fic:

Donna Noble/Ninth Doctor: I saw this ship in the tag set and it made me laugh, then consider, then hurriedly add it to my sign-up. My Doctor Who OTP is Donna/Happiness and it broke my heart when Will suggested she was settling with Shaun. Maybe she meets the Ninth Doctor before the Tenth Doctor and becomes his companion, or maybe he comes across her and senses some ‘alien traces’ or whatever, and is able to either restore her memories or lock them away for good, allowing her to travel with him without danger. If you go the latter route, I’d like Donna to know and agree to what he’s doing. It’s absolutely heart breaking when she’s begging the Doctor not to wipe her memories, so I’d like her to have a bit of agency in the situation. If you just want to hand wave all of that though and do established relationship fic, that’d be awesome! I just want to see these two bantering and being brilliant together!

Donna Noble/Shaun Temple: My Doctor Who OTP is Donna/Happiness, and it broke my heart when Will suggested she was settling with Shaun. Please give Donna a good, fulfilling life. A job she enjoys, a boyfriend/husband she adores and who adores her. She doesn’t have to get her memories back (though if you want to go in that direction, full steam ahead!) but I’d like her to feel that she’s doing something worth doing. 

Jack Harkness/Mickey Smith: I just think these two would be fun together. Maybe Mickey joins the Doctor in s1 and they get together then. I love the idea of Mickey being the one who’s stuck in the air in ‘The Empty Child’ and finds himself saved by this handsome, flirting con man. Alternatively, post ‘Journey’s End’ Mickey joining Torchwood would be cool.  

Jackie Tyler/Pete Tyler (Pete’s World): How convenient this turned out to be, but surely it’s not that simple. Pete has twenty years of memories of his wife that Jackie doesn’t have, and Jackie has lived a completely different life to that of Pete’s World!Jackie, so she can’t be exactly the same. How do the two of them work this out? How do they go about raising the new baby? Jackie’s been a parent before, but Pete hasn’t, does that cause any tension?

Dorothea/Narrator of ‘dorothea’: I’d love a f/f relationship, but m/f is fine too. I’d love anything about their relationship, either something when they’re growing up, skipping the prom together, or do they get back together as adults? I know all Taylor Swift music, so if you want to use other songs as inspiration too, that’s great! I think ‘The Lucky One’ and  ‘‘tis the damn season’ work well, as do songs like ‘Wildest Dreams’ that are about secret relationships. I don’t mind a bittersweet ending for this one if they don’t end up together or an open ending, but I’d rather not a totally sad ‘I’ll never love again’ ending.

Fic:
Brother & Sister: I love that this song is about a loving, powerful sibling relationship. I don’t care about the age of the siblings, whether they’re birth siblings or adoptive siblings, if the focus is on their relationship I will be thrilled! The music video is awesome and magical, so if you want to expand on that world - the magic, who the kids are and why they’re being held captive, why the world seems to have been destroyed - that’d be really cool. Or a completely different fantasy world, maybe about a king or queen and their sibling the knight. Or modern AU where it’s metaphorical, and the kids are going through something. I don’t want RPF, but if you want to write a story about siblings being separated as the song is based on, that’s also great.

I’ve never requested original works before so I’m excited to see what you come up with. I’ve put a few likes for each pairing, but honestly do whatever you want here! High fantasy, yes! In Space, amazing! Wild West, sweet! Fairytale-esque weirdness, awesome!

Brave but Stubborn Female Knight/Famous Female Bard who Has a Crush on Her: I’m just thinking all the grand, romantic songs the bard writes, “her courage... so strong and noble... so beautiful... her eyes like stars...” and everyone in the tavern is like ‘...get a room’ but the knight is totally oblivious. For a more angsty route, maybe the bard insists on accompanying the knight on adventures (only for song inspiration, of course) and learns that battle isn’t beautiful or glorious at all.

Dethroned and Dishonored Queen/Lone Loyal Female Knight: I’m less interested in why the Queen is dethroned and more interested in how the two of them move forward afterwards. Does the Queen feel guilty for taking the knight down with her? Is it hard for them to adjust to being on equal terms? What made the knight so loyal? Just love, or does she honestly think the Queen has been unjustly treated?

Shy Bookish Victorian Woman/Dashing Victorian Lady Fencer: What’s not to love about this pairing? I love history so go as nerdy and detailed as you like, but it’s also fine if you don’t go totally accurate, flirting and romance is all I want. I don’t mind inclusion on period-typical homophobia if you want to go more angsty, but please mind the no graphic violence DNW.  

Spring Witch/Winter Witch: Witchery and magic! What’s the difference between a Spring Witch and a Winter Witch? Do their differences compliment each other or is there tension? Are they human women who’ve learned magic, or were they born with power? 

Wandering Lady Knight/Her Pining Female Friend She Writes Letters to: Yearning! Terms of endearment! Finally seeing each other after months or even years apart! 

Female Knight/Female Healer: I’m interested in the dynamic between someone who spends their life fighting and someone who spends theirs healing. Is there tension, or do they find comfort in their differences? What’s it like for the healer to wait behind as the knight goes into battle? Hurt/comfort fic would also be lovely here, emotional or physical wounds.

Vampire Academy

Specific DNWs for this fandom: Complete AUs, but canon divergence is fine

Teacher/student is on my DNW list, but does not apply to this fandom. Rose/Dimitri is my exception because their relationship isn’t written as though this is a normal or healthy dynamic, but something that needs to change before they can be together as equals. I will ask no non-canon teacher/student, and that it’s not what makes the relationship appealing for either Rose or Dimitri.

I’m always surprised there isn’t a larger Vampire Academy fandom because it has so much potential. I’d love some worldbuilding, looking at feeders’ lives, the inner workings of guardian work (like how they’re assigned, how much they train after graduation, what their job is like day-to-day, etc.). I really love the characters too though, so feel free to just focus on them and their relationship.

Fic:

Christian Ozera & Tasha Ozera: I was so disappointed with how Tasha’s story ended. She was perfectly nice to Rose throughout the series and I really liked that she wasn’t a Mean Girl trying to steal Dimitri, and it felt weird that at the last minute it was revealed she was Evil. I’d really like something exploring her relationship with Christian, how it felt to raise him when she’s not that much older than him, how they bonded, how they struggled after the attack. Did Christian ever blame Tasha for the death of his parents? How did he feel about living largely in human society? Did living with humans change their perspective on feeders?

A canon divergence AU where Tasha doesn’t murder the queen and blame it on Rose would also be cool. 

Dimitri Belikov/Rose Hathaway: Post-canon Romitri settling into their relationship would be fun. How do they deal with the judgement they’re bound to get? Do they find it harder than they expected to make their relationship work? I’m interested in them both as individuals as well, so it’d be nice to get more depth to Dimitri’s relationships with his family and/or Rose with her parents. Neither of them are close to their families, so how do they support each other as they try to build/maintain those relationships? 

Alternatively a canon divergence AU where they meet some other way would be wonderful, if Ivan hadn’t died, or Rose and Lissa hadn’t been found until after graduation, etc.

Lissa Dragomir/Rose Hathaway: Lissa/Rose ticks so many boxes for me - friends-to-lovers, reckless loyalty, forgiveness, character growth! I’ll be thrilled with anything about their relationship, pre-book growing up together, realising their respective places in society and saying screw that!, on the run, post-book canon divergent where Lissa is Queen and Rose her guardian, Lissa’s perspective of things. If they still have the bond, how do they cope with that? Alternatively, how does Lissa cope without the bond and how does Rose learn to support her without it? Lissa supporting Rose would also be sweet, since we get so little of that in the books.

Lissa Dragomir & Rose Hathaway: All of the above minus the romance.

Rose Hathaway/Sydney Sage: I adore Sydney, and think she and Rose would be really good for each other. Rose would encourage Sydney to think for herself and pursue her own ambitions, and Sydney would be a calming influence on Rose. Maybe they meet earlier when Rose and Lissa are on the run and Sydney somehow gets pulled into it, or they keep in contact after Russia, or Rose goes with Jill to Palm Springs. If you want to skip all that and go straight to established relationship, that’s great!
